Technical Specs

Minimum specification for a server running Text Message Server software:

Processor

600 MHz Pentium III compatible or faster processor, 1 GHz or faster processor recommended.

Framework

TMS requires the .NET Framework version 2.0 to be installed prior to installation of the TMS Software.

Operating System

Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with SP4
Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with SP4 or later
Windows Server 2003 Standard, Enterprise or Datacentre editions with SP1 or later
Windows Server 2003 Web Edition SP1
Windows Small Business Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 or later

 

Please Note:
We do not recommend that TMS be installed on a Domain Controller or Mail Server (this includes Microsoft’s Small Business Server).

 

Memory

192 megabytes (MB) of RAM or more; 512 megabytes (MB) or more recommended

Hard Disk

Approximately 5 gig of available hard-disk space for the recommended installation

Drive

CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive

Display

Super VGA (1,024x768) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor

Other Devices

Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Other requirements

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later
IIS with SMTP gateway option installed
Appropriate number of free COM ports for GSM modem connectivity (1 port)

 

N.B. Text Message Server may also share server resources with RightFax V9.3
